Albertini Packaging has opened its doors to an educational project developed by Comieco (National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Cellulosic Packaging), proudly hosting two classes of very young, sharp students.
The Open Recycling project aimed to inform and raise awareness among schools about paper and cardboard recycling, the concept of circular economy, and what business practices companies implement to meet their eco-friendly goals.
The students were given the opportunity to learn these concepts by visiting the APG facilities, where they were shown the proper procedures for correct waste separation — not just a lesson in civics but a valuable „hands-on experience.“
We were delighted to show them how a company like ours produces packaging, especially for the delicate Pharma sector, accompanying them on a safe guided tour and providing them with all the necessary answers to discover one of the most important paper transformation facilities. They caught a glimpse of each process, from the cutting of the reels to the correct disposal methods, as we aimed to promote the mindset of responsibility — which applies to individuals at home taking small actions as well as large companies implementing certain collective practices.
The project represented an interesting and educational experience for the young students and a proud, delightful moment for us at APG as we have succeeded in enriching the eyes and minds of the future supporters of recycling and the environment.
